Yoppii’s Manifesto

A Yoppii is defined as a yogahappening yogi.  Yogahappening invites you to contribute your mantras to the list as a comment or email us.

  1. When you yell keep it short.
  2. Recover fast.
  3. Love 88% of your neighbours.
  4. Don’t judge meat eaters.
  5. Don’t judge non meat eaters.
  6. Wear Lululemon to work.
  7. Ride your bike to yoga.
  8. Wear a helmet.
  9. Take all religious holidays off work so you can go to a yoga class.
  10. Keep your friends close to you.
  11. Make a friend.
  12. Keep a friend.
  13. Forgive a friend.
  14. Call your parents.
  15. Accept differences.
  16. Put yourself in an uncomfortable position off the mat.
  17. Know how to do advance postures by knowing how to do them.
  18. Advanced yoga is about being aware of your body. Not what the person is doing next to you.
  19. Go to a farmer’s market once a week.
  20. Drink local beer.
  21. Eat local cheese.
  22. Know where the steak you are eating is raised.
  23. Practice yoga outside.
  24. Have picnic under a tree.
  25. Send thank you cards not texts.
  26. Leave your cell phone at home for an entire weekend.
  27. Be chariable.
  28. Love the body you’re in.
  29. Be content with less.
  30. Plant a garden.
  31. Get a pedicure once a month.
  32. Drink coffee because you love it, not because you NEEEEED it.
  33. Know what you’re afraid of and take steps to change that relationship.
  34. Laugh more. (both alone & in front of others.)
  35. Look at the sky.
  36. Smile at puppies (easy), smile at babies (easy), smile at old people (easy), & smile at everybody in between.
  37. Embrace your uniqueness. There will NEVER be another you in the entire lifetime of this universe.
  38. Rock out. (like you MEAN it.)
  39. Consider a smile a gift – give generously.
  40. Never mind what your pose LOOKS like… what does it FEEL like?

Don’t wear Lululemon. Wear clothing made locally (maybe even by yourself!)
